Hi, I’m Mac! 

I bring over 8 years of experience as a Personal Trainer in Korea and Canada, along with 2 years of experience as a Pilates instructor. My journey in fitness is driven by deep curiosity and a commitment to excellence. While living in Bali for a year, I practiced surfing and Ashtanga yoga daily to understand the body’s flow. I’ve always believed in “learning from the best to deliver the best,” which led me to train directly under a Russian Kettlebell Lifting champion and a Chinese Olympic weightlifter. My expertise also extends to specialized tools like Clubbells and Bulgarian Bags.

MEET MAC

For me, learning isn’t just a hobby—it’s the foundation of my coaching. I don’t study to boast about what I know; I study to show how much I can do for my clients. I find genuine joy in identifying the movements that are truly necessary for each individual. As CrossFit gained popularity in Korea, my passion for lifting and functional movement naturally led me to the sport, and I’ve been an active part of the community ever since.

Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is “Move Well, Move Often,” but even more important is “Find Joy in Movement.” I’m here to help you enjoy how you move first, so that you can move well and do it often for the rest of your life.

In our modern world, we are all “movement-deficient.” Just as we get regular medical check-ups, our bodies need a “Movement Health Check” to ensure we are functioning at our best. Using the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), I assess your mobility; if you’re experiencing pain, I use the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) to find the root cause. Finally, the Y-Balance Test (YBT) allows us to track your progress with clear data, showing exactly how much you’ve improved.

  • KETAcademy Kettlebell Coach Level 2 – Skilled in advanced kettlebell techniques with strong ability to coach them safely and effectively 
  • ISSA Certified Personal Trainer 
  • STOTT Pilates Certification – Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels (Lv. (Lv. 1) 
  • NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) 
  • NCSF Certified – MA Weight Liftin Trained in the technical foundations of Chinese Olympic weightlifting, with the ability to coach fundamental movements safely and effectively 
  • FMS, SFMA Level 1 & 2 – Standardized screening for fundamental movement qualit 
  • Fundamental Capacity Screen (FCS) & Y Balance Test (YBT) – Skilled in assessing movement capacity, balance, and stability to identify limitations and guide safer, more effective training programs
