Sarah’s fitness journey began like many others—with a series of attempts to find the right fit. “Before coming to Rocky Point, I kind of tried a bunch of different group classes, Zumba and dance classes, community center stuff, and just never really stuck to it,” she recalls. Frustrated by a lack of results and inconsistent effort, Sarah was searching for a place that could offer the support and structure she needed.
Discovering Strength and Passion
Upon joining Rocky Point Fitness, Sarah was introduced to a whole new world of fitness. “I never touched a barbell. I’ve never really done any work on the rigs or anything,” she admits. Despite the initial challenges, Sarah found joy and empowerment in learning new lifts, especially the deadlift, which quickly became her favorite. “Deadlift just makes you feel like a badass, so that’s why it’s my favorite. I’m like hardcore,” she says with a smile.

There are group classes throughout the day, not just like once a week on Thursday night. It’s all day, every day pretty much,” she explains. This flexibility allows members to fit their workouts into their busy lives, making fitness a sustainable part of their routine.

For those who may feel intimidated by the gym environment, Sarah offers reassurance. “It can be a little bit intimidating when you come here. There’s stuff you’ve never seen before but they’re really good about teaching you all the moves and teaching you safely,” she says. Everybody under the sun. You’re not gonna not fit in if that’s what you’re worried about,” Sarah emphasizes.

From spending too much time on the couch to committing to five days a week at the gym, Sarah’s transformation is nothing short of remarkable. “It’s just part of my life now and what I do,” she says proudly.
